Boston travelers will soon have another convenient option for reaching Nantucket in 2026. American Airlines announced Thursday that it will launch two new domestic routes from Logan Airport next summer — one to Nantucket and another to Madison, Wisconsin. These additions are part of a broader expansion that includes 15 new U.S. routes, seven of them originating from Phoenix, and new service to Lincoln, Nebraska. With more passengers expected to pass through Logan, this expansion is also likely to boost Boston airport taxi services as travelers look for reliable transportation to and from the airport.
Both the Nantucket and Madison flights will begin on June 18 and operate daily. The Madison route will run year-round, while the Nantucket service will be seasonal and conclude on Sept. 8. Travelers on these routes will fly aboard an Embraer E175 aircraft.
In a statement, Brian Znotins, American’s senior vice president of network and schedule planning, said the airline is proud to offer wide-reaching connectivity across the United States. He noted that the new routes reinforce that commitment by giving customers more opportunities to achieve their travel plans in 2026 from major hubs such as Chicago and Phoenix.
